Provided are a novel nitrogenated heteroaromatic compound and an organic electronic device using that compound. This organic electroluminescent element has a plurality of organic layers between a positive electrode and negative electrode laminated on a substrate. At least one of these organic layers is an organic electroluminescent element containing a nitrogenated aromatic compound represented by formula (1). In the formula: L represents an alkane, cycloalkane, aromatic hydrocarbon, heteroaromatic compound, triarylamine, or n + m valent group arising from diaryl sulfone; A represents an alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, silyl group, acyl group, aromatic hydrocarbon group, or heteroaromatic ring group; X represents C(R)2, oxygen, S, or Se; R represents H, an alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group, aromatic hydrocarbon group, or heteroaromatic ring group; m represents an integer of 1 - 4; and n represents an integer of 0 - 3. The total of m and n is 2 - 4. |
