A shielded electrical cable (2) comprises a conductor set (4) including one or more substantially parallel longitudinal insulated conductors (6), two generally parallel shielding films (8) disposed around the conductor set (4), and a conformable adhesive layer (10) disposed between the shielding films (8) and bonding the shielding films (8) to each other on both sides of the conductor set (4). The shielded electrical cable (2) may further include at least one ground conductor (12). A method of making a shielded electrical cable (2) includes providing a conductor set (4) including one or more substantially parallel longitudinal insulated conductors (6), forming two generally parallel shielding films (8) around the conductor set (4), and bonding the shielding films (8) to each other on both sides of the conductor set (4). |
