The present invention provides a method and a device for use in PCP marking and user identification. The method comprises: adding to a PCP request packet a user identification information unit for use in marking a user; sending to a PCP server the PCP request packet with the user identification information unit added, thus enabling the PCP server to identify the user on the basis of the user identification information unit. In embodiments of the present invention, PCP is simple, easy to use, and secure.
