METHOD FOR PRODUCING UNSATURATED ACID OR UNSATURATED NITRILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a corresponding unsaturated acid or unsaturated nitrile by subjecting propane or isobutane to a gas phase catalytic oxidation or a gas phase catalytic ammoxidation reaction, and capable of obtaining the unsaturated acid or unsaturated nitrile more simply and also at a high selectivity.

SOLUTION: This method for producing the corresponding unsaturated acid or unsaturated nitrile by subjecting propane or isobutane to the gas phase catalytic oxidation or gas phase catalytic ammoxidation in the presence of a composite oxide catalyst containing Mo, V and Nb by using a fluidized bed reactor is provided by comprising a process of bringing a tungsten compound having 1 to 500 μm mean particle diameter in contact with the composite oxide catalyst in the fluidized bed reactor.
