<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording body which is excellent in color developing sensitivity, printing image quality, glossiness, water resistance, scratch resistance and plasticizer resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording body includes an undercoat layer containing organic hollow particles, a thermosensitive recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting developer, and a protection layer which are successively provided on a support. The protection layer in a wet state is pressed to a heated mirror surface drum and dried thereby.
