<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction in which a measurement value is decreased and eventually disappears in a display device with a touch panel having a front panel provided on an electrostatic capacitive touch panel at a predetermined interval. <P>SOLUTION: In a display device with a touch panel comprising a front panel provided on an electrostatic capacitive touch panel at a predetermined interval, the touch panel includes a plurality of X electrodes and a plurality of Y electrodes, from one of which a sequential pulse signal is applied and by the other of which the signal is received. The touch panel calculates a touch position on the touch panel using not only a reception signal obtained from the other electrodes when a detection object touches an arbitrary point on the front panel not causing a distortion on the front panel but also a reception signal obtained from the other electrodes when the detection object touches an arbitrary point on the front panel causing a distortion of the front panel toward the touch panel side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
