<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous operation even during an operation using a hand which is not the dominant hand (non-dominant hand) in a grip type operation device including a grip unit which is gripped in one hand and operated and a transfer unit which transfers an operation state of the grip unit to an operation target. <P>SOLUTION: When a button of a mouse including pressure-sensible elements therearound, on the basis of detection signals of the pressure-sensible elements, it is determined whether a hand gripping the mouse is a right hand or a left hand (S1). When this determination can be made (S2:Y), a determination result is stored in a database (S3) and collated with a history in the database, and thereby it is determined whether the mouse is being operated by a non-dominant hand (S4). In the case of the non-dominant hand (S4:Y), a warning is displayed to announce which kind of operation the button operation is, and operation is waited for three seconds (S6).
