<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably recover toner in developer without providing a special device in such a case as when exchanging the developer to new developer due to carrier deterioration in the developer in a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is provided with the developing device 10 for having the developer D including the toner and the carrier guided to the image carrier 1 by developer carrier 11 provided with a magnet member 11a having a plurality of magnetic poles on an inner periphery side and supplying the toner to the image carrier by applying developing bias voltage between the developer carrier and the image carrier. In this case, positions of the magnetic poles are varied by rotating the magnet members in a toner recovery action for recovering the toner by a toner recovery device 20 from the developer in the developing device so that the toner supplied to the image carrier from the developer carrier is not transferred to a transferring body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
