<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device capable of reducing loss. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a three-level inverter comprising: an IGBT device Q1 connected between a direct-current positive bus 8 and an alternating-current line; an IGBT device Q2 connected between a direct-current negative bus 10 and an alternating-current line; an alternating-current switch 5 connected between a direct-current neutral bus 9 and an alternating-current line; and diodes D1, D2 connected to the IGBT devices Q1, Q2, respectively, in antiparallel. The three-level inverter includes a first current path formed between the direct-current positive bus 8 and the alternating-current line via the IGBT device Q1 and the diode D1, a second current path formed between the direct-current negative bus 10 and the alternating-current line via the IGBT device Q2 and the diode D2, and a third current path formed between the direct-current neutral bus 9 and the alternating-current line via the alternating-current switch 5.
