<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail wall which can be reliably installed in a building and can reduce oppressive feeling in view from a lower floor, and to provide a construction method of the handrail wall. <P>SOLUTION: A handrail wall 10 comprises: a transparent wall 11 which stands at an open side edge 1a of a floor 1 in a building and is made of vertically arranged transparent plate material 11a such as glass; two wall parts 12 and 13, at least one of which has a height approximately equal to that of the transparent wall 11; a coping member 14 which is arranged along the upper end of the transparent wall 11 and the upper end of at least one of the wall parts 12 (13); and a reinforcement frame 15 which holds the upper end of the transparent plate material 11a and constitutes an attachment substrate of the coping member 14. A construction method uses the handrail wall. Since blocking of a visual line to an upper floor is prevented, oppressive feeling in view from a lower floor is positively reduced.
