<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the time from a rotation stop state of an optical disk to a start of reproduction of a content. <P>SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing device 1 includes an optical disk drive into which a disk 2 having a content recorded is inserted, and a nonvolatile memory 54, and reproduces the content. The recording and reproducing device 1 includes: a beginning cache accumulation part 46 which accumulates a beginning part of the contents recorded on the disk 2 inserted into the optical disk drive as a beginning cache in the nonvolatile memory 54; and a beginning cache reproduction part 48 which reads the beginning cache out of the nonvolatile memory 54 and reproduces the beginning cache when the content is to begin to be reproduced in a state in which the disk 2 inserted into the optical disk drive does not rotate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
