<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect battery cells by cutting off high current even if an abnormality occurs in a protection circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A battery pack comprises: a battery block 10 having a plurality of battery cells 1 housed in a battery holder 2; a first circuit board 6 which is fixed to the battery holder 2 of the battery block 10, and which is provided to mount a first protection circuit 25 capable of detecting an abnormality in the battery cell 1 and cutting off current; a second circuit board 9 provided to mount a second protection circuit 26 which is configured separately from the first protection circuit 25 and is capable of detecting the abnormality in the battery cell 1 independently of the first protection circuit 25 and cutting off current; an outer case 4 for housing the battery block 10; and an output connector 15 which is arranged on the outer side of the outer case 4 for outputting the power from the battery block 10.
