The vehicle (10) has electrical energy storage unit (7) for supplying electric motor (4) with electrical energy. A fault current protection device (1) is provided between charging terminal and electrical energy storage unit, so that electric current is guided from charging terminal to the electric energy storage unit through fault current protection device. The electrical connection between charging terminal and the electrical energy storage unit is interrupted during detection of fault current by fault current protection device.
