摘要 <p>Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device with a front plate, which comprises a step wherein: a ?/4 plate that has a hard coat layer and is mainly composed of a thermoplastic resin, a bonding layer, a front plate that is formed of glass or an acrylic resin, and a sealing layer that contains an ultraviolet curable adhesive are sequentially provided in this order from the viewing side on the viewing-side surface of a liquid crystal panel that has polarizing plates on both surfaces of a liquid crystal cell; and the sealing layer is cured by being irradiated with ultraviolet light from the hard coat layer side. The method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device with a front plate is characterized in that the ?/4 plate having the hard coat layer contains 0.005-0.5 part by mass of a compound, which has a maximum absorption peak at a wavelength of 260-400 nm, per 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin of the ?/4 plate.</p>
