A communication system and method of storing records of details of margin agreements registered with the communication system are described. The system and method facilitate the processing of a recall of collateral requested from one authorized computer of one party to a registered margin agreement, and identified as the request originator, over a wide area network to another authorized computer of the counterparty to the registered margin agreement, and identified as the request receiver.
