PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating a carbon fiber using plasma source is provided to enable stable thermal treatment of a precursor fiber. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for fabricating a carbon fiber comprises a plasma source power supply(112), a plasma chamber(110), an igniter electrode(152), and auxiliary heating device. The plasma source is used for thermal treatment of a precursor fiber(142) and comprises an antenna coil formed at one side of the plasma chamber. The power supply supplies power to the plasma source. The plasma chamber provides a space for discharging plasma.
