A method for analyzing a trace of a SQL for a DBMS, and a device thereof are provided to increase quality by performing a rapid tuning operation and to analyze the trace of the SQL accurately and rapidly. A method for analyzing a trace of a SQL for a DBMS includes a step of separating and abstracting a plurality of SQL letters included in plural SQL files separately(S50); and a step of arranging the abstracted plural SQL letters according to a predetermined standard(S70). The first step includes a step of changing the plural SQL files into an analyzed foam with a standard format(S40); and a step of analyzing the plural changed files and separating and abstracting the plural SQL letters included in each file. A device for analyzing the trace of the SQL for the DBMS has an abstraction unit. The abstraction unit separates and abstracts the plural SQL letters of each file by referring the plural SQL trace files.
