<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover material attachment structure and a cover material attachment fitting, which enable a cover material to be extremely easily attached to/detached from a grating without the need for large-scale work. <P>SOLUTION: In a cover material attachment structure, a punching metal 20 as a cover material, in which a large number of openings 21 smaller in dimension than an interval between main bars 11 are formed, is attached to a top surface of a grating 10 equipped with the plurality of disposed main bars 11. An attachment fitting 30 locked or fixed to the main bar 11 is provided. The attachment fitting 30 is fixed by being screwed to a bolt 31 having a shank inserted through an attachment hole 22 formed in the punching metal 20.
