<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic X-ray film comprising a polymer support. <P>SOLUTION: One or more silver halide emulsion layers are coated on each side of the support. A blue dye is contained within at least one of the polymer support or in an adjacent hydrophilic layer in a sufficient amount to result in a CIELAB measurement of L<SP POS="POST">*</SP>less than or equal to 80 and b<SP POS="POST">*</SP>less than or equal to -25.
