<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that causes less unevenness when pressure is applied to a display portion with a finger, a pen, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal material held between the two substrates; spacer for adjusting the distance between the first and second substrates; a plurality of signal lines and scan lines arranged to intersect with each other on the first substrate; a switching element disposed at each intersection between the signal line and the scan line; and a display region including a resin layer disposed to cover the signal line, the scan line, and the switching element, and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the switching element via a through-hole formed in the resin layer.
