PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass storage unit and a pretreatment unit capable of more efficiently and easily burning biomass.

SOLUTION: The biomass storage unit for storing biomass to be supplied to a crushing means for crushing the biomass includes: a tank body storing the biomass; and a heating means having a heating source directly heating a region of the tank body including a region where the biomass is stored and heating the biomass stored in the tank body in a range of a non-carbonization temperature by the heating source.
