<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that controls to apply or shut a current to a water supply pipe heater, in which an effect of preventing freezing in a water supply pipe is achieved, however, when a user instructs to start making ice, water can be supplied as fast as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator having a water supply pipe heater for preventing water in a water supply pipe from freezing includes a control means, which determines, when a user instructs to start ice making, whether or not a continued time of applying a current to the water supply pipe heater just before the time of instruction reaches a predetermined standard time, and operates a water supply pump on the basis of the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
