PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer for a container which is safe and capable of saving a time and effort of a user, and a container including the same.

SOLUTION: A container unit (1) has an electrode couple for generating streamer discharge in water in a water storage tank (31) and a DC power supply for applying a DC voltage to the electrode couple. The container unit includes an underwater anti-static discharge device (4) which generates a hydrogen peroxide in the water in the water storage tank (31) by streamer discharge between the electrode couple for producing processed water (W) including the hydrogen peroxide. The processed water (W) produced by the underwater anti-static discharge device (4) is sprayed from a spray device (32) into the container (2) so as to sterilize the inside of the container (2).
