<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of switching two or more illumination modes having different spectral characteristics for a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device includes: light sources 1 and 2 for emitting light having a wavelength band required for two or more illumination modes; a dichroic mirror 5 which allows the transmission of light that has a predetermined wavelength and has been emitted from the light source 2, while allowing the transmission of light that has the predetermined wavelength and has been emitted from the light source 1 and reflects the light having a wavelength band other than the predetermined wavelength band to the optical axis of the light from the light source 1 to compose the light from the light source 1 and the light from the light source 2; and a control section for controlling the illumination states of the light sources 1 and 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
