The invention relates to a method for detecting, localising and quantitively measuring the emissions of initially non-identified polluting species in the vicinity of industrial and/or agricultural and/or strategic sites. According to the invention, said method consists of: installing, close to an industrial and/or agricultural site, at least one appliance for remote sensing by infrared spectro-imaging, that can passively acquire spectral information on various polluting species present on the site in order to detect, identify and localise same, and to obtain a quantification of the concentrations of said various identified polluting species; operating several image recording stations around the site explored in order to spatially sample the 3D field of the polluting species and to ensure a spatial localisation thereof; measuring the concentrations of polluting species identified by the radiative transfer inversion method; and carrying out a 3D tomography of the emissions of identified polluting species. |
