<p>A pressure relief valve for blown fibre closures is provided having constituent components fabricated from plastic. An adaptor (101) is provided for connection to a blown fibre closure, and a body (104), welded to this adaptor (101), is provided to enclose a piston (102) and a spring (103) within, such that they are protected from the ingress of silt and water. The piston (101) is arranged to provide a double seal such that a pressure relief valve plug (208) and an opening (213) in the enclosing body (104) are closed or opened simultaneously to prevent the ingress of silt and/or water on the one hand and the unhindered escape of pressurized fluid on the other.</p> |
