<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide apparatus and guide method in which, even when a language that a partner to be communicated speaks is not known, the language can be determined. <P>SOLUTION: Guide information is displayed (S23), an expression of a target person to observe the guide information is monitored (S22), and the monitored expression of the target person is determined (S25).
