<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate strength of a unidirectional magnetic field with high sensitivity and high accuracy using an MR element without complicating configuration, for example, to measure DC current with high sensitivity and high accuracy by using a magnetic field strength sensor to a DC current sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic field strength sensor 10 evaluates strength of a unidirectional magnetic field Mx by detecting changes of a resistance value of a magnetoresistive thin film 22, and includes a magnetoresistive thin film element obtained by forming a conductive pattern by the magnetoresistive thin film on a substrate 21, and a holder 30 which holds the magnetoresistive thin film element, in which the substrate comprises a non-magnetic insulating thin plate with firmness and flexibility, and the holder holds the magnetoresistive thin film surface at a state of being inclined at a predetermined angle θ to the vertical surface in the magnetic field direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
