<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent display device, along with an organic electroluminescent display device manufactured by the method, which includes applying of liquid material containing organics (application liquid) on a pixel region separated by a bank provided on a substrate, by an ink jet method or the like, which can reduce the amount of organics sticking to the bank. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent display device which uses an application liquid containing liquid organics or the organics having mesomorphism as well as a bank having a curvature. In the method, a predetermined relationship of contact angle against pure water is satisfied.
