<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain efficient blade replacement cycle by integrating and correcting blade count by combining coverage which requires detection in fixed time in addition to usage count of a blade which can be instantaneously detected and usage count of an image carrier in order to exactly grasp a wear amount of the tip of the blade. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes at least one of first detection means for detecting a factor which affects wear of a blade and can be instantaneously detected, and second detection means for detecting a factor which requires fixed time to be detected, in which a control part corrects blade count to be stored by a result of the first detection means, and the control part periodically corrects the blade count to be stored by a result of the second detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
