摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a xerographic photoreceptor which removes foreign substances such as minute machining shavings and dust before a photosensitive layer formation process on the surface of a cylindrical substrate for the xerographic photoreceptor, and eliminates dots resulting from the foreign substances to attain high image quality by suppressing device costs and manufacturing tact. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a xerographic photoreceptor having: a cleaning process of cleaning a cylindrical substrate by immersing the cylindrical substrate in cleaning solution at temperature higher than temperature of the outside air; a foreign substance detection process of detecting the foreign substances adhered to the surface; and a photosensitive layer formation process of forming a photosensitive layer on the cylindrical substrate, the foreign substance detection process has: a measurement process of measuring temperature distribution on the surface of the cylindrical substrate while temperature difference is provided between the cylindrical substrate and the temperature of the outside air in lift dry of the cylindrical substrate from the cleaning solution; a detection process of detecting the foreign substances adhered to the surface based on a low temperature area of the temperature distribution on the surface of the cylindrical substrate; and a determination process of determining whether or not the cylindrical substrate is transmitted to the photosensitive layer formation process based on a result of the detection process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
