<p>An optical component comprising a substrate and an infrared reflection-preventing film, wherein the substrate comprises ZnSe and has the infrared reflection-preventing film formed on at least one surface thereof. In addition, the infrared reflection-preventing film is formed from a low-refractive index layer comprising BaF2, a high-refractive index layer comprising ZnSe, ZnS, or Ge, and an intermediate layer that is amorphous or anisotropic. This type of configuration makes it possible to obtain an optical component having high transmissivity and favorable surface roughness without use of ThF4.</p> |
