The device has transmission units (2, 3) including respective laser transmitters. One transmission unit is firmly connected with a deflection device (1). The transmission unit radiates two fan-shaped radiation bundles with a longitudinal axis of longer dimension transverse to a sending direction. The radiation bundles exhibit different wavelengths. A receiver unit (4) includes a receiver sensitive for one wavelength of one radiation bundle. The transmission unit together with the receiver unit determines a location of objects in a solid angle range.
