<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and its shutdown method in which efficiency of cleansing and removing sulfide adhered to a catalyst layer of a fuel cell stack can be improved, compared with conventional examples. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 200 comprises: a communication pipe 220 used for communication between an air supply pipe 205S and a coolant supply pipe 206S; a first switching part 210 for switching a supply destination of air from an air supply part 102; a second switching part 211 for switching a fluid supplied to a coolant channel in a fuel cell stack 103 from a coolant to air; and a control unit 215 which controls the switching operation of the first switching part 210 and the second switching part 211 and the operation of the air supply part 102 so that air may be supplied to the coolant channel via the communication pipe 220 when power generation by the fuel cell stack 103 is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
