摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of ink during flushing operation. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of unit jetting parts U includes: a pressure chamber 50 filled with the ink; a nozzle 56 communicates with the pressure chamber 50; and a piezoelectric vibrator 422 for changing the pressure in the pressure chamber 50, and jets the ink from the nozzle 56 in accordance with a change in pressure in the pressure chamber 50. A control part 60 controls micro-vibration to be applied to the pressure chamber 50 during a printing period TPR, and causes each of the unit jetting part U to execute flushing operation so that the amount of ink to be jetted FL1 by the flushing operation of the unit jetting part U to which the micro-vibration is applied during the printing period TPR exceeds the amount of ink to be jetted FL2 by the flushing operation of the unit jetting part U to which no micro-vibration is applied during the printing period TPR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
