Cellulosic and mixed textiles are dyed and printed with vat and reactive dyestuffs by first impregnating or printing with dyestuffs, opt. containing alkali (bi)carbonate, drying and then impregnating with aq. soln. of alkali hydroxide and neutral salts containing formaldehyde sulphoxylate and water-soluble nitroaryl cpd., pref. alkali (Na or K) nitroaryl-, esp. m-nitrobenzene-sulphonate, and and subjecting to heat treatment. Good fixing of both dyestuffs together or separate is achieved. |
