<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for subjecting a gas to a neutralization treatment with efficiency as well as safety and convenience to remove SO3, which is a cause of white smoke and violet smoke, and a mist of sulfuric acid derived from SO3, wherein the gas contains a SO3 ingredient, for example, the gas being generated by the combustion of a fuel containing sulfur in boilers and the like. SOLUTION: The treating method is characterized by removing the SO3 ingredient by adding a powder of sodium carbonate having an average particle diameter of 20μm or less preferably together with 0.1-5% by mass of an anti- caking agent into the gas containing SO3 ingredient.</p> |
