<p>A weftless tape comprising filaments having a flexible plastic covering from end to end, coated with a first layer of a tacky adhesive followed by a second layer of adhesive of the hot-melt type. The second layer has an adhesion softening temp. at which the plastic covering is heat-stable. The softening temp. may be 150-350 deg.F. The first layer may be an adhesive of natural or synthetic rubber type such as latex. The hot-melt adhesive may be coumarone-indene resins, alkyds, terpene resins etc. Tapes useful for masking, binding and sealing.</p> |
