Dust laden gas streams are filtered in bags mounted on frames inside a housing for the dirty gas from which the gas passes into the bag and then leaves via branch. Each bag has an individual clean gas branch which can also be used for purge gas to clean the bag. Each bag is sealed into the wall of the housing so that if the seal is faulty, dirty gas cannot enter the clean air. The use of individual clean gas branches ensures that even if the seal around a filter bag fails or becomes damaged, the clean gas does not become contaminated. |
