PURPOSE: A stand-by power self cutting off outlet and a method thereof are provided to cut off the stand-by power of an outlet as well as an electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A first switch(140) switches the electrical connection between a power input unit(110) and a power output unit(160). A control unit(150) controls the switching operation of the first switch according to a state of an electronic device. An AC/DC converts a first power inputted by the power input unit to a second power. A second switch(130) switches the electrical connection between the power input unit and the AC/DC converting unit.
