<p>Methynic photographic dyes. The dyes are of gen. formula:- where X is E1 or CH = E2 where E1 contains -CA2- and the methynic chain is joined by another -CH2- and E2 is 5 or 6 membered N contng. heterocyclic containing C = N or C=C -C=N in the alpha or gamma psn; n = 1-3; Z is H, alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or heterocyclic; T1=T2 is H, OH, CN, COOR1, CONR1R2 or COR1; Prepd. by condensation of an acetal and a hydroxypyridone. Useful for textiles esp. nylon and photographic sensitizers.</p> |
