PURPOSE: An absorbent composition for removing pesticide residues from ginseng, and a pesticide residue removal method from the ginseng using thereof are provided to effectively remove the pesticide residues from the ginseng before processing by minimizing the damage of ginsenoside. CONSTITUTION: A pesticide residue removal method for ginseng comprises the following steps: dipping the washed ginseng into an absorbent composition containing 5~20%(w/v) of aqueous whey calcium solution; washing the dipped ginseng. The absorbent composition additionally contains 5~30%(w/v) of chitoic acid, chorion, or elvan stone. |
