PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Brassica oleracea seed extract is provided to suppress melanocyte proliferation and tyrosinase activity. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains Brassica oleracea seed extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using water, organic solvent or mixture thereof. The organic solvent includes ethanol, methanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, hydrous ethanol, hydrous butylenes glycol, hydrous propylene glycol, hexane, or ethyl acetate. The composition further contains arbutin. The composition is manufactured in the form of a skin, skin lotion, skin softener, skin toner, astringent, lotion, nutrition lotion, milk lotion, nutrition cream, massage cream, moisture cream, hand cream, essence, pack, soap, cleansing foam, cleansing lotion, body cleanser, or eye shadow. |
