<p>Cellular, heat-cured unmeltable phenolpolyurethane (density 0.3 lb/cu.ft) is obtd. from the reaction of a polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of a foaming agent. The polyol is a mixt. of monomers and polymers of ethers of mono-, di- and tri-methylophenols. The foam has excellent strength and heat insulation properties, and dimension stability and is suitable for cool box, house and refrigerated transport car insulation use.</p> |
