The method involves preparing and purging a suction line of a paint pump (5) and rinsing a paint circuit by using volume of predetermined treated effluent. The paint circuit is rinsed by using predetermined volume of ecosolvent and by using predetermined volume of treated effluent so as to save water consumption of a network by recycling the treated effluent for cleaning and rinsing the paint circuit. A spray gun (10) or spraying unit is connected to a rinsing case (7), and a suction unit or tube is disconnected. An independent claim is also included for an installation unit for cleaning and treating chemical effluents i.e. paint, comprising a preparation and purging unit.
