Guiding device for sliding doors

The device has a linear damper (9) for decelerating an opening movement of sliding doors (2), where the sliding doors are movably supported at a rail and are movable from a closed position to an opened position. The linear damper has a tappet (11) inserted into a damper housing (10), where the sliding doors cover each other in the opened position and an area of the sliding doors is releasable. The housing is connected with one of the sliding doors by a holder (19). A piston rod is movable relative to the damper housing. The tappet is prestressed by a spring in a withdrawn position.
