[Also in Division G1] A D.C. current/voltage regulator 40 Fig.2 is arranged to provide a constant current on lead 52 and a constant voltage on lead 50 to energize a bridge and amplifier from a D.C. voltage source on leads 28, 30. The supply voltage establishes a constant voltage across Zener diode D3 which is compared in a differential amplifier comprising transistors Q3, Q4 with the voltage across resistor R6, any difference being fed to a Darlington pair Q5, Q6. The current from the emitter of transistor Q6 counteracts any voltage changes across resistor R6 to maintain a constant current through it and along lead 52. The constant voltage across D3 produces a constant current through transistor Q1 and series resistors R11, R13. Their junction is connected to a Darlington pair Q7, Q8 which establish a constant voltage on lead 52.
