The frequency of an oscillatory circuit 2 is modulated by means of a transistor 21 coupled to it, the base-emitter capacitance of the transistor 21 being varied by a modulation signal applied to its base. A part of the oscillator output is fed to a mixer 41 together with a reference signal from oscillator 42 to produce an automatic frequency control signal which varies the capacitance of a diode 30 forming part of the tuned circuit. Temperature compensation is also provided by diodes 37 which vary the control signal in response to temperature changes. |
