PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing multimedia contents to terminals as early media are provided to minimize thedelay between call connection sound transmission and call data transmission, thereby quickly connecting a call during a response of a receiver. CONSTITUTION: A call connection related signal for call connection with areceiving terminal is received from an originating terminal(302). Aresponse signal including the first session description information is received(304). The second session description information for offering multimedia contents is received from a media server(308). The first session description information and the second session description information are included in theresponse signal. The response signal is transmitted to the originating terminal(310). |
