In apparatus for the simultaneous photography of a subject and front projection of a background on to a screen behind the subject, the optical axes of camera and projector are superposed by the use of a semi-reflecting inclined mirror and the camera is mounted for a combined lateral and rotational displacement to maintain the intersection of camera and projector axes at the mirror surface when the camera is turned. The camera is mounted on a platform 5 and is secured to a vertical rotatable post carrying a pinion gear 6 which engages a rack 7 fixed to a stationary lower platform 9. As the camera is turned on the post, the rack and pinion drive platform 5 along guide rails 10 against spring 12. An arcuate rack centred on the inter-section point of the axes may be used to maintain constant camera distance from this point.</p> |
